Please note we do not adopt to families with children under 10 years old, and our area of service is New York City and its NY, NJ, and CT suburbs. We will not consider any adoptive home outside of the NYC tri-state area (please check petfinder.com or your local shelters to locate other available Maltese around the country).

Our adoption application helps us learn more about you, your lifestyle and preferences. We pride ourselves on matching our Maltese with families that fit their specific needs and personalities. We do not adopt on a
first come, first served basis but instead to the most compatible family for each dog in our foster care program.
Once a match has been identified our volunteers will check your two personal references along with your veterinarian and groomer (if applicable) and conduct an interview with the family. A virtual home visit must be completed and approved before a meeting with your potential new family member can be scheduled
Please keep in mind we receive many applications for each available dog and it may take some time before a match is made for your family.
We ask that you be patient as our volunteers review and process matching applications for each available dog.
You will need to sign our Adopter Agreement
and pay the adoption fee before taking your new family member home.

Adoption Fees:
$500 for dogs under 3 years old
$400 for dogs 3 to under 6 years old
$300 for dogs 6 years old and up

All our Maltese have been vet checked, are responsible spayed or neutered,
and made current on all state required vaccinations prior to placement.
