Metropolitan Maltese Rescue is a nonprofit corporation 501(c)(3) dedicated to placing homeless Maltese and Maltese-mixes into loving, responsible, forever homes. We are an active partner of a no-kill community and we hope there will come a day where there are no more homeless animals.
Metropolitan Maltese Rescue is an all-volunteer organization founded in 1998 by a group of Maltese dog lovers in New York City who wanted to make a difference. Our dedicated volunteers are located in New York City and its surrounding suburbs. |

He is the first of thousands of Maltese we have helped find forever homes for.
We rely solely on your generous donations so we can continue to welcome Maltese and Maltese-mixes who are surrendered by their owners or local shelters into our foster program where they will receive medical attention, training, and plenty of love!
Our adoption screening process allows us to place our dogs into forever homes that are suited to each dogs individual needs and personalities.
We welcome all those who just love the breed and want to help. After all, that's how MetroMalts began.
