MetroMalts has a special relationship with the Center for Animal Care and Control. The CACC is the only animal care organization in New York City that never turns away animals. MetroMalts has placed a number of Maltese for the CACC, and Joan is the PetFinder volunteer for its Brooklyn shelter. To celebrate the CACC's wonderful accomplishments this year, Rosemarie created the card you see above using Joan's photos of just a few of the animals that are home today thanks to the CACC.

A group of us took a trip to Brooklyn to personally deliver the cards along with six big boxes filled with toys, treats and supplies donated by Tricia and Kathleen. It was an emotional day as we saw the incredible number of beautiful pets that are lost, abandoned or surrendered in this City. But it was a great feeling to know that we could do something to help the animals and to bring smiles to faces of all the wonderful folks at the shelter.
