Pookie

Pinky, now Pookie, was found running around in Central
Park. She was initially dubbed Pinky, since she was dyed a light, but definite shade of
Pink. MMR was notified about Pookie and she was safely captured and brought into foster.
With a few shampoos, Pookie is no longer Pink! This playful and extremely bright pup is
living a very happy life with her new family in Connecticut.

Parker

Parker Jones came to us from a shelter on Long Island.
His foster family took care of his minor health problems, including an operation for
cherry eye. This sweet, loving boy is living a happy new life with his human
family and Samson, his new Maltese brother. Parker is a welcome addition to his new
family, especially to Samson. Samson recently lost his brother Goliath of 14 years. Poor
Samson missed Goliath so much that he stopped eating! Last reported these new Maltese
brothers, Samson and Parker are enjoying a very happy life together!

Trixie

Trixie, a stray was found wandering the streets in upper
Manhattan. The Good Samaritan who found her contacted MMR after attempts to locate her
owners were unsuccessful. Kathy, an MMR member met dear Trixie, who is predominantly
white, but without a lick of Maltese in her. No Matter. Kathy happily volunteered to
foster Trixie and could not resist making her a permanent family member. Trixie co-exists
happily with her Maltese bother Darby, also an MMR rescue.

Alice

Dallas, now Alice came to us from North Shore Animal
League. Another almost Malt -- well probably mostly Bichon, Alice was a bit nippy at
first. With love and care provided in her foster home, Alice stopped nipping and started
kissing. Alice is described by her new Mom as a happy, playful, adorable, silly,
little girl.

Gigi

Gigi, a beautiful mini-Poodle came to us from the
Brooklyn CACC. After a short stay in a loving foster home where she was nursed through her
spay, this sweet, smart and spunky young dog was adopted by a family in upstate NY. Gigi
is in a happy new home where she has plenty of room outside to exercise her beautiful long
Poodle legs. She lives the good life in the company of Ozzie, also a young, rescued
mini-Poodle.

Bailey

Bailey was a matted and filthy and deaf
young Maltese found as a stray and brought to the Manhattan CACC. First-time foster Karyn
offered to house this little guy, expecting to get him on his feet and ready for the next
chapter of his life, but never thinking she and her husband would fall in love with him.
On their first day together, while dropping Bailey off at the groomers and seeing his
loving eyes showing such regret at being left behind, was all it took for Karyn. Karyn
knew she loved Bailey already and knew that Bailey had bonded already with her, too. A
foster home quickly turned to a forever home, and they never look back again!

Jamie

Jamie, an owner-surrender from the CACC is a happy,
playful, Malt-mix of a certain age. This gorgeous pooch has a silky-soft white
and champagne-colored streaked coat. Rebecca, a new MMR Foster Mom, graciously made room
in her home and her heart for this lovely girl. Jamie made herself at home immediately,
befriending neighbors of both the canine and human persuasion. It wasnt long before
Rebecca told us that this little one wasnt going anywhere Jamie was home
forever!
